Stuff that doesn't bug me

I mean Simming-type stuff.  I think this every so often when I'm looking over stuff at MATY and there are various "nuisance-avoiders."  I find myself thinking "why does this bug you?" I understand that everyone is different and is annoyed by different stuff, but sometimes I don't understand why.

I especially think this with "Smells Yummy."  What's wrong with "Smells Yummy?"  I do it myself all the time.  I did it this morning when I passed some cinnamon raisin bread, because, well, it Smelled Yummy.

I know a lot of people aren't so happy about second cousins being attracted to each other.  I'm not so excited about first cousins once removed. I have to watch Victoria like a hawk.  She's a magnet for inappropriate attention. Romance Sims with a lot of wear and tear on them being dropped for dates generations later, not so great (I'm looking at YOU, Grace Goodytwoshoes), and great-grandparents having bolts for great-grandkids is admittedly a little squicky.  Still, on balance, I'd rather be able to marry my playables off to other playables.

I guess I was thinking of this in connection with some discussion of punishing Sims for just acting like Sims.  I probably wouldn't kill Mr. Jikamawhatever the Headmaster now, since I know how to handle them.  I probably still would kill Professor Delusional, who almost wrecked Sunny's engagement, but I didn't kill Casca's Drama Professor, even though he was just as big of a pain.  I even replaced the sentry bot at the Vestals House with one of those Cow Heads.  If a Sim wants to stroll off and leave a baby on the floor, it's ok by me:  it's better than feeding it bottles and giving it baths it doesn't need.  The constant pillow fighting is boring, but it doesn't hurt anything: if they want to do it in oncoming traffic, that's their business.

Sucking face with Sims your Sim doesn't know well and can't stand, though:  that's gotta go.

I also was not so pleased to see that one of Carmilla's victims lovers is the kind who sneaks over at one am and rings the door bell. "Guess who?"  Guess what:  it's one am.

Penelope is now halfway through sophomore year.  I'm taking advantage of the day off and doing some more playing.  I hope the next update won't take that long: I have some plotty things to do, so it might.  Also, expect to see some vacation shots.  It's a bit of a waste to take a vampire to sunny Twikki Island, but Carmilla would have pined without Lucy and Carmilla had a nice time and met (another) boy.
