Penelope: Dinadan, are you ready for a wedding?
Dinadan: When?

Penelope: I was thinking later this evening.
Dinadan: What’s wrong with now?
Penelope: I would, but my brother’s a vampire, so we’ll have to wait.
Meanwhile, I am too stunned with looking at Dinadan’s LTW. It’s six. . . six. . .
Six grandchildren. We only need ONE GIRL, Dinadan. When your first female grandchild is born, we’re done.
Dinadan: I like to think of it as being really committed to the success of this Legacy.

Heather and Barrett may have been anxious yesterday, but they’re sloppy newlyweds at this wedding today.
Carmilla and Achilles: Ik.

Penelope: My, don’t you look knightly.
Dinadan: Actually, I am. . . RubyBlue knighted my brothers and me when we were boys, and I thought. . .I’m sorry, it must look stupid.

Penelope: No you don’t. You look chivalrous. And romantic. And mine.
Dinadan: Aw. Please say all that again.

The wedding was held in the family’s new wedding chapel, in one of the front turrets. It was hoped that it might encourage the guests actually to watch the wedding.

I suppose it was asking too much for them to sit down, as well.
Heather: Booo! Bo-ring!
Carmilla: What are you, a critic?

Carmilla: Of course, if you HAVE to get married. . .
Lucy: Hisss.

Lucy: Heather’s an airhead.
Carmilla: Heather’s an even bigger airhead than I am.

Sophia: I don’t worry about them at all. Do you?
Jack: I believe they are sufficiently sweet to continue the family enterprises in children’s playthings and frozen sweets, yes.

And at last Dinadan Locks became the eighth Mr. Goodytwoshoes, a moment he had been looking forward to even more than I had. .

. . .and Penelope, and all her well-wishers. . .

. . .each of whom honored the event in his or her own unique way.

Penelope: Oo! A chocolate wedding cake! Don’t just stand there looking soulful, Dinadan.

Penelope: You have to have some.

Penelope, I thought you might shove the cake.
Penelope: In my sweet Dinadan’s face? On our wedding day?

Sophia: Finally a decent wedding cake.
Everyone seems to appreciate the cake. Well, almost everyone.

Heather: So, did you notice we match?

Yes, Penelope and Dinadan had a fairytale style wedding. I thought it was the least I could do. What is probably more important to Dinadan, however, is a future of a happy marriage after all the pain he went through in his home legacy.

I’m sure he’ll be happy to know that children are already on the way.
But Penelope and Dinadan aren’t the only expectant parents. Victoria and Adrian are expecting a little Victorian bundle, and there are more, though perhaps these are not as, um, orthodox as the ones you have just seen.
