Working really hard

I don't think I'll have a new chapter out by my third legaversary (which is January 7th, I think), but that's because it's going to be so massive.  I think I have nearly enough of the photos I need, but I'm going to have to split it in two, and there are one or two plotty scenes I need to shoot.

Also, I've been having a lot of fun playing and getting some couples together. I was shooting plotty scenes today, and I am dying to tell y'all what's coming, but of course I can't.  I also have to keep two or three different balls in the air, and I don't think I can do with fewer photos without getting confusing.  Powerpoint coughs up and dies on me at about 238 slides, so right now I need to outline and figure out where I want to split the chapter.

So because I can't tell you what's going on, and because this probably won't go in the actual chapter, I'd like to share some alien eyecandy with you:

Bleah. I'm assuming that 'give first lecture of semester' is above and beyond TA duties... which pre-supposes you even get a TA. (Also I hope I don't need to poke you about seeing a dr if you don't stop having wheezing... it's getting to be on the longish side for a simple URI and the last thing you need is a bout of bronchitis or pneumonia.)

I am, of course, looking forward to the next thing, especially at a nice double-Exchange length size. I really should drop a comment on the last one (and a couple other things)...

Incidentally, my SO saw that picture on my screen and asked if that skin was based on Avatar's aliens, heh.

Nope, we don't get TAs at this school. We have a few TAs who are totally responsible for comp classes. So as a prof, I do all the lectures, all the meetings, committees, paperwork, etc. I like doing it, but I don't have any energy for a full lecture for two hours and then leading another class on Children's Lit. The furloughs mean I can't take any sick days without screwing up the syllabus for good. They've also increased the class sizes. On Monday, my poor students were stacked up like firewood, ran out of chairs, were leaning against walls. I gave up my chair and sat on the desk.

But I am going to call the doctor. This is ridiculous.
